A Baltimore community initiative in development

Help us build something worth keeping.

We are beginning with a simple but serious goal: a community response to loneliness, isolation, and everyday needs among older adults.

What founding support would build

People, programs, and a responsible foundation.

Zekeinim's first priorities are to learn from older adults, build community relationships, establish a nonprofit with sound governance, train volunteers, and pilot a few programs in Baltimore.

Our hope is to grow with a thoughtful mix of donations, sponsors, and community partnerships after the appropriate legal steps have been completed.

Important: We are not processing contributions through this website. Zekeinim is not claiming to be an approved tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization at this time. Please do not send money based solely on this page.

A first-year vision

  • Recruit a founding board and advisers
  • Listen to older adults, families, and community leaders
  • Develop volunteer screening and safety practices
  • Pilot companionship and simple kindness programs
  • Evaluate outcomes before expanding

Let's talk

Interested in helping us get started?

We welcome conversations with potential board members, donors, advisers, and community supporters. At this stage, it's a conversation about building Zekeinim, not a donation request.
